TASTING NOTES

Warm and opulent with a burnished copper hue. A lavish mélange of fruit, flowers, and spice with ever evolving woody base notes. Opens with accords of ripe red fruit and oaky spice before a big characterful palate filled with florals, spicy notes, bittersweet chocolate orange, baked quince, and a brisk juniper to finish. Best served neat with the zest of an orange. A Kind Like No Other.

AMBER DELIGHT COCKTAIL

Ingredients
40ml Inverroche Amber Gin
25ml Vanilla Syrup
5ml Absinthe
15ml Lemon Juice
20ml Bitter Aperitif
1 Egg White

Method
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Fine strain into a stemmed vintage coupe glass with 1 ice brick and garnish with lemon zest and Baby Breath flowers.

AMBER HONEY COCKTAIL

Ingredients
50ml Inverroche Amber Gin
25ml Honey Syrup
2 Sprigs Fresh Thyme 15ml Lemon Juice
75ml Cranberry Juice

Honey Syrup
Add about 100ml of honey into a mixing glass, then add 50ml of boiling water. Stir the mixture for about 30 seconds or until the honey has begun to soften and not stick to the glass. Pour out of the mixing glass and into a bottle and use in the drink as guided.

Method
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain over a clear ice brick in a stemmed Cognac glass. Apply thyme wreath garnish to the rim.

STILBAAI SOUR COCKTAIL

Ingredients
40ml Inverroche Amber Gin
25ml Orgeat Syrup
15ml Lemon Juice
100ml Orange Juice
3 Dash Bitters

Method
Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Fine strain into a Collins glass filled with ice and garnish with an orange peel.

AMBER G&T

Ingredients
50ml Inverroche Amber Gin
1 Premium Indian Tonic Water
1 Freshly Sliced Orange Peel
Freshly Sliced Strawberries
High Quality Ice

Method
Combine all ingredients into a stemmed red wine glass and stir. Serve and Enjoy!

Hotel guests and visitors are invited to take part in a bespoke gin distillation masterclass, blending your own selection of botanicals to create a custom spirit infused with layers of exceptional flavours and unique aromas.

Set in the Ellerman House Wine Gallery, this immersive experience includes a gin tasting, cocktails and canapes on the terrace at sunset. The class itself is an intimate gathering, with just six seats made available each of the weekly sessions. Participants in the Inverroche Gin Academy will take home an elegant bottle containing your own, one-of-a-lind gin and the memories of an unforgettable evening bringing to life the spirit of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
